When you decide to establish an endowment fund with the Dauphin and District Community Foundation, you make a commitment to support your community forever. Gifts of cash, a designation in your Will, a life insurance policy are all appropriate. Through endowments, gifts made to the Foundation are invested, with the capital held in perpetuity. The returns we receive on these investments are used for grantmaking, thus the original will continue to have impact in the community forever.
